Gloria Estefan's Sprawling Miami Beach Guest Home Is Back Up For Sale At $32 Million
The 1.34-acre Miami Beach estate, first purchased by Emilio Estefan for his mother before her death, is reported by some outlets as a "guest compound" for friends of Gloria and Emilio Estefan (and located very close to their own Miami Beach home) is now up for sale, after the couple already attempted to sell the property once before back in 2015. Back then, they wanted $40 million for the house, but now the price has been reduced to $32 million.
Before their attempts to find a buyer for the property and long before the most recent $8 million price reduction, the Estefans had previously been offering it as a rental known as "Nena's Villa," a reference to its aforementioned original purpose. Guests to Nena's Villa could pay $30,000 a month to stay at the compound's own guesthouse (for guests of guests, you might say), or $75,000 a month for both the guest and main house, all of which are located adjacent to where the couple themselves live on Miami Beach's exclusive Star Island.
Now, though, they're ready to sell outright, and in fact have been since 2015. The compound's main house has four bedrooms and five baths, while the guest cottage has three beds and three baths. Both are in the "Floridian Villa" style and are surrounded by "sparkling waterfront and unobstructed views to Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami," as per the short video tour of the property below. Take a look for yourself, if you're so inclined:
Should you choose to make the former Nena's Villa your new home, you'll be joining an elite fraternity of big names that have also reportedly owned homes on Star Island at one time or another, names which range from Shaquille O'Neal to Rosie O'Donnell. And, of course, you'll also be able to consider Gloria Estefan among your neighbors.
