Jack Barakat Set To Open New Bar

Following Jack Barakat’s successful Rockwell bar in Baltimore, Maryland, it seems that the All Time Low guitarist is setting his sights on continuing down this pathway – which only seems to lead to more and more success for him.

The Riff, which is set to open on June 17th, the day before Jack’s 28th birthday, is going to continue to pay homage to 90’s and 00’s rock/pop-punk culture. When speaking to Alternative Press (AP), Jack said:

“It’s going to be music-themed. There are going to be instruments all over the place, and band pictures of your favorite bands from live shows. It’s just going to be very music inspired and driven. We kind of want to do what we did with the Rockwell in Baltimore and create a space where you can be yourself with no judgement and just listen to what you want to listen to. It’s not to say that it’ll only be rock music played there. There’s going to be something for everyone. But that’s going to be a majority of it.”

In the interview with AP, Jack also makes mention to the fact that he doesn’t want this to be a “clique” sort of thing – he wants to make it a place where “bands and fans can… have a good time.” Which, in all reality, sounds like one of the coolest things that could happen. Can you imagine drinking a beer with Mark Hoppus? Or Jack Barakat himself? *dies in pop-punk*

Jack made sure to include some bits about his birthday plans at the bar – including having friend Brian Dales from The Summer Set as DJ. Considering Jack’s Snapchat is constantly filled with tidbits of alcohol, hangovers, and more alcohol, we definitely don’t expect his birthday to be any different.
