Law & Order: Organized Crime Will NBC Ax The Show? Could Peacock Save It?

Publish date: 2024-05-23

As Law & Order: Organized Crime fans continue to wait for NBC regarding a renewal decision for Season 5, a report reveals that the show could move to the streaming service, Peacock, instead.

As it stands, Law & Order, as well as Law & Order: SVU have been awarded renewals for the 2024-2025 season; however, Organized Crime’s future is still up in the air.

Could Peacock Save The Day For “Law & Order: Organized Crime”?

As per Deadline, while it’s still unclear if the Law & Order spinoff will get another season with NBC, it could hit NBCUniversal’s streaming platform, Peacock. In fact, all four of the show’s seasons can currently be seen on the service.

Sources note that there continue to be “conversations” about an Organized Crime Season 5 heading to Peacock. Interestingly enough, this wouldn’t be the first time a Law & Order franchise went from NBC to another provider.

After all, Law & Order: Criminal Intent once aired on NBC for six seasons, only to have its final four with the USA Network.

Law & Order: Organized Crime – Nothing Is Confirmed

Sadly, nothing is “set in stone” for Organized Crime and Season 5 is uncertain. Still, if NBC does not renew another season, and it ends up going to Peacock, this wouldn’t be the show’s worst fate.

It would still be available to viewers, and the series could go darker and possibly have longer shows with far more “intense” cases as streaming services allow for this kind of content variation.

Still, some fans out there don’t subscribe to Peacock, and it would be hard to say if the show moving to the streaming service would be enough “pull” to do so. Regardless, it would be nice if NBC dropped the hammer and announced their decision, one way or another.
