Lizzos Tiny Purse At The AMAs Won The Red Carpet & Fans Cant Stop Talking About It

The red carpet at any awards show in Hollywood is always about the best and worst dressed celebrities. And while there were definitely a number of must have looks at last weekend’s American Music Awards, Lizzo stole the show with an extremely tiny purse that she carried to accessorize her short gold, layered dress.

According to Page Six, the teeny tiny bag from Valentino – through a collaboration with Obvious Plant – was equivalent to the size of an AirPods case. And, the singer joked on Instagram that the purse was “big enough for my f**ks to give. Big body b***h in a Valentin-HO custom look for @amas.”

During an interview, the 31-year-old Good As Hell singer said the purse was “one of only three in the world.” And she also jokingly revealed what was inside.

“I’ve got tampons in there, a flask of tequila, some condoms,” said Lizzo while she laughed.

Of course, social media had a field day with the super tiny purse, and it already has its own parody Twitter account, @lizzostinybag. Memes about the tiny purse are everywhere, and they are hilarious. On the parody account, fans were asked to caption a pic of the purse, and fans wrote everything from “Where I keep my Aldi quarter” to “my budget for Black Friday.”

“I can’t believe Lizzo carried my self-esteem on the AMAs red carpet,” one person tweeted, while another wrote, “You could fit all of the money in my bank accounts in Lizzo’s purse.”

On ABC’s Twitter account, they praised the singer by writing, “Y’all, can we just appreciate @lizzo’s purse? You don’t need to carry much when you’re already 100% that B-! #AMAs.”

This past year has been the biggest of Lizzo’s career, and she recently received the most nominations of any artist for the upcoming Grammys. Even though it looks like she was an overnight success, the singer says it took a lot of hard work.

She recently tweeted that after eight years of touring, giving out free tickets to undersold shows, sleeping in her car, losing her dad, and playing shows for free beer and food while she had $32 in her bank account, she’s glad she never gave up.

“This is what ‘overnight success’ looks like. Don’t give up. Your moment is waiting for you,” wrote Lizzo.
