WWE Didnt Allow Torrie Wilson To Mention Sable During Hall Of Fame Speech
Torrie Wilson joined WWE following the company’s purchase of rival WCW in 2001. Torrie appeared as part of the WCW/ECW alliance during WWE’s infamous invasion storyline that culminated at Survivor Series 2001. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame eventually, but they nixed one name on her speech.
The former Miss Galaxy recently made an appearance at The Asylum Wrestling Score for a virtual signing. Torrie said WWE didn’t allow her to mention Sable during her Hall of Fame speech in 2019.
“You’re not even allowed to mention her name … I mentioned her name in my Hall of Fame speech and right before, they told me, ‘Oh, by the way, you’re not allowed to mention her name.”
It’s no secret that Sable had a contentious relationship with WWE during his first stint with the company, which saw her file a $110 million lawsuit over alleged sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions.
She returned to WWE TV in the April of 2003, this time as a heel character. Her final stint with the company lasted until the August of 2004. Sable is married to WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and has two kids with him.
